Professor Mike Davies elected as new Fellow of the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP)

Professor Mike Davies has been elected as one of the new Fellows of the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) in recognition of his major contributions to the fields of Sparse Representations and Compressed Sensing. EURASIP elevates no more than 4 leaders in signal processing a year to the position of EURASIP Fellow and there are fewer than 40 in total. Professor Davies will be only the 4th ever UK signal processing researcher to receive such an award. The list of all 2016 Fellows was announced in the recent EUSIPCO newsletter which can be found in the link below.

The European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) exists to further the efforts of researchers by providing a learned and professional platform for dissemination and discussion of all aspects of signal processing and runs the major annual European Signal Processing Conference, EUSIPCO.

Professor Davies will collect his award at the next EUSIPCO conference in Hungary later this year.
