Engineering150 - Year of Celebrations 2018

2018 will mark the 150th anniversary of the Regius Chair of Engineering, thus establishing engineering studies at the University of Edinburgh on a par with the best in the UK. The School of Engineering will be marking this significant anniversary with a programme of events and activities. Planning has begun, and we also want to receive ideas and suggestions from our community of staff, students and alumni – or indeed anyone with a great idea!

The Engineering150 Working Group is chaired by Professor Gordon Masterton, with Regius Chair Professor Jason Reese, Head of School Professor Hugh McCann and Director of Professional Services Bridgeen McCloskey. The Working Group will be assisted by an Advisory Group with representatives from all engineering disciplines. Julia Eighteen provides the administrative bedrock.

Make a suggestion now!

Anyone with an innovative idea on how the School and University should celebrate 150 years of the Regius Chair of Engineering should email julia.eighteen@ed.ac.uk before the closing date of 30 November. £150 of Amazon vouchers will be awarded for the best suggestion taken up.
