Technican Job Requests system
Requests for workshop time or technical assistance should be requested through the technical job request system at: https://webdbc.ucs.ed.ac.uk/see/tech/request
It is important to liaise with the relevant Technical Support Officer before a job request is submitted. An understanding of what is required e.g. the scale of the project, project time lines, resources required etc... enables the planning of lab use, ordering of materials, components and allocation of Technician's time. Please note although every effort will be made to help, if this process is not followed work that has a job request number allocated will come first.
Technical Services Manager (TSM)
Mrs Fiona Alderson is the new Technical Services Manager and she will take up her post on the 19th of December. Until then Bill Leslie (tsm@eng.ed.ac.uk) will be covering the TSM duties.
