It is the Policy of School of Engineering and Electronics to migrate
to storing all new internal documents and core teaching material in the
OASIS
standard document format
by September 2006.

The School will standardise on the OpenOffice suite for producing
such work.

Interim
In the interim, the version of MS-Office used should not advance beyond
Office XP.
Use of Office 2003 is very strongly discouraged.
[The School joined MS-Campus-3 scheme in June 2004, enabling copies of
MS Office to be upgraded to MS-Office-XP for the interim period.]
