The presentation will showcase the history of S&C and highlight over 100 years of excellence and innovation. Our portfolio of products & solutions will be reviewed to emphasise the various market segments we serve. Past, present and future trends in the power & energy industry will be presented.

Several global S&C projects will serve as practical demonstrations of the solutions that can be provided to the industry.

Biography

Mr Stapleton has worked for 20 years in the power industry. After receiving his B.Eng (Hons) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering in 1994 from the University of Edinburgh, he remained at this institute to undertake postgraduate research work related to the technical and economic analysis of embedded generation.

In November 1998, he joined Power Technologies Ltd. (PTL), later to become PTI. His progression in the Consulting Services group from Analytical Engineer, through Consultant to Senior Consultant involved analytical engineering, power system studies for transmission, distribution, generation and industrial projects in the UK, Europe and the USA, presenting software and power system courses and providing client support.

In October 2005, following the acquisition of PTI by Siemens, he became the Operations Manager for Siemens PTI in the UK, leading a power system consulting business and a highly qualified team with average annual turnover in excess of £1million.

In June 2013, he moved to his present position as Consultancy Services Manager with S&C Electric Europe Ltd. to lead the Consulting and Analytical Services team. As well as line management, technical leadership and operational performance responsibilities he also provides technical support to internal and external customers globally and continues to perform power system studies.
