Abstract:
Wood Group is a global business providing a complete range of services to the energy, process and utility industries. Headquartered in Aberdeen, the organisation has over 30,000 people working in more than 50 countries. Flexcom is a versatile software package, capable of simulating a variety of offshore/subsea applications including risers, mooring lines, umbilicals, floating bodies, offloading lines, seafloor conduits, installation processes and even renewable energy devices. It’s design philosophy is based on the provision of advanced computational techniques to provide confidence in the engineering design, coupled with a user-friendly interface which facilitates optimum productivity.
Biography:
Aengus is a chartered engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the development and support of structural analysis software for the offshore oil and gas industry. Aengus works in the Digital Solutions branch of Wood Group, and is based in the Galway office.
