A three year position is available in the Li-Fi Research and Development Centre Li-Fi Centre website
The Li-Fi Research and Development Centre undertakes research and development in Optical Wireless Communications and is currently involved in a number of both ESPRC and industry projects.
The post holder will be required to have a background in the communication industry or related field, and be able to acquire a detailed knowledge of Li-Fi-related research developments to promote the Li-Fi Centre and its outcomes in order to secure increased research and development funding from Industry.
S/he will be expected to build and develop a network of relevant company and donor contacts, and establish key relationships to implement a mutually beneficial “knowledge-exchange-based” Affiliates and Membership programme for the Centre, to ensure that our Li-Fi research is directed towards industry needs and industry problems, and that there is a flow of income into the Centre from these programmes. S/he will attract and manage pilot projects to promote the high TRL (Technology Readiness Level) prototypes developed in the Li-Fi Centre.
The post is anticipated to start in May 2015 for a duration of three years, and will be line managed by Professor Harald Haas.
