Building on our continued world-class research and teaching performance, we are seeking to appoint from the world’s brightest early career researchers a tenure-track Chancellor’s Fellow. In this prestigious 5-year post, initially, you will focus on research and innovation, whilst gradually taking on teaching duties, reaching a full teaching portfolio after 5 years. It is anticipated that following a successful review at the end of year 3, you will transition to an open-ended lectureship. An important focus of this Fellowship is to extend and develop our existing industrial collaboration and impact.
You will have begun to establish a reputation for the quality of your research in either academia or industry and will have a commitment to enhancing teaching and student support at University level in the discipline of Chemical Engineering with a research focus on forming and scale-up of nanoporous materials for catalysis and separations. The work will relate strongly to current research on materials for separation processes in the School of Engineering and on research into catalysis and the discovery of novel materials in the School of Chemistry.

Successful applicants will normally be appointed at Grade 8 having completed their PhD and acquired equivalent relevant postdoctoral experience which meets the University Grade 8 Academic Job Profile. Exceptionally, an appointment at Grade 9 may be made for someone with extensive experience of research leadership.
