Project ADVANTAGE first Training event

In November 2014 John Thompson hosted ADVANTAGE’s first training event here in the School of Engineering. John is the Project Co-ordinator  for ADVANTAGE, a major inter-disciplinary and inter-sectoral project between Power and Communications engineering research and development communities. The project will train 13 Early Stage Researchers based in universities (including here in the School of Engineering) and companies in the UK, Spain, Serbia, and Denmark.

Early Stage Researchers and Partners of the project spent a very busy and enjoyable week here in Edinburgh, participating in academic and social activities including lectures on Power and Communications, laboratory demonstrations, talks on entrepreneurship by our company partners, and an underground ghost tour of Edinburgh!

We look forward to ADVANTAGE’S next training event to take place at Aalborg University in May 2015, and to the continued success of the project.
