Sarkisov wins 2nd prize at the 8th Industrial Properties Simulation Challenge

The Industrial Fluid Properties Simulation Challenge is an open yearly competition organized by the Computational Molecular Science and Engineering Forum (CoMSEF) of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), the American Chemical Society (ACS), Army Research Lab, Boeing, National Institute of Standards and Technology, The Dow Chemical Company, 3M, and United Technologies Research Center.

The 8th challenge focused on prediction of adsorption of perfluorohexane in an activated carbon. Five teams from Imperial College London, University of Manchester, Istanbul Technical University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of Edinburgh participated in the challenge, with Dr Lev Sarkisov of Edinburgh winning second place.
