Engineering150 logo competition winners

Two winners have been announced by the School of Engineering following a competition to design the logo for the School's Engineering150 celebrations next year. The designs were chosen by a panel of judges formed of staff from across the School.

Professor Gordon Masterton, Chair of the Engineering150 Working Group said,

"Both designs were thoughtful and presented very different options for the panel. We were impressed by the historical basis of Kehan Zhang's logo, whose design was inspired by the anaglyph above the Sanderson building, and how Salvatore Caporale reflected the institutional evolution of engineering in the final design and type.

The designs will be used to develop the Engineering150 logo, which is currently being finalised in line with wider University brand guidelines. I would like to thank all those who contributed to the competition."

The School of Engineering is currently developing an exciting programme to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the University's Regius Chair of Engineering in 2018. If you would like to be involved, please contact zoe.blah@ed.ac.uk
