Professor Bisby discusses space stations and combat ships in new series of Impossible Engineering

Professor Luke Bisby discusses some of the world’s most innovative feats of engineering in the latest season of Impossible Engineering.

The TV show focuses on the biggest breakthroughs in engineering, highlighting the innovations, creativity and skill that enabled them to exist. This season, Professor Bisby talks us through the International Space Station – the single most expensive engineering project in history – and the Littoral Class Combat Ship, a class of US Navy surface vessels which can be used close to shore and are the fastest vessels of this type in their fleet.

The episodes were initially shown on Tuesday 15 August and Thursday 17 August at 9pm on UKTV Yesterday. They are available to view on UKTV Play.
