I am working with Prof Win Rampen and Synchrostor on the design of a novel grid-scale pumped-heat energy storage system, based upon the Joule-Brayton cycle. My work currently consists of modelling the whole system and individual components, using a variety of techniques. Previously I completed a PhD at the University of Sheffield, on the low energy ventilation of underground railways.
