First of all, Happy birthday to myself. Tomorrow is my birthday, and hopefully I will have a memorable birthday in Edinburgh!
Well, back to the topic. This month is still mainly about the postgraduate dissertation. The dissertation is half of the way, so hopefully, I will finish it smoothly at the beginning of August. Apart from the project preparation, we had a really exciting day out for picnic at the foot of Arthur’s Seat. The fun of the picnic is not only at the moment when we are BBQ, but also the process we bought and prepared the food. This is really fun when everyone works on their role, some went for the meat, some pickled the meat, and some strung the vegetables and meat. All about meat, ha-ha. Enjoying the BBQ, playing music and cards, sounds quite interesting, doesn't it? We are now planning another one, but perhaps it will be after the dissertation submission.
One big thing for the students must be the 2017 Undergraduate Graduation. Bristo Square in front of the McEwan Hall is now open. To be honest, it is the first time I've seen the entire square. I am doubting if it is only open during the graduation ceremony, ha-ha. Unfortunately, I was not able to take the photo of the ceremony. Because of the graduation, you can see so many parents with their children in the street. It is very common for the students to guide their parents around the beautiful city as well as the famous university. It is exactly what I am planning to do during my graduation ceremony period, not only in Edinburgh, but also show my parents around the entire UK if possible.
The same time next month will be after my dissertation submission, so hopefully everything will be fine. Best wishes with other postgraduates as well.
