Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability

The Chemical Engineering Teaching Lab has been awarded the 2020 Silver Sustainability Award by the University’s Department for Social Responsibility & Sustainability. The award recognises the team’s effort in reducing the lab’s carbon footprint, sharing good practices, improving waste management and moving towards more sustainable and less energy-intensive approaches.

Staff and students from the School were recognised in two categories at the University’s Sustainability Awards 2018 during a ceremony on 28 March 2019. Institute of Energy Systems PhD student Zihao Li won Silver in the Student Residence category, while the Chemical Engineering Teaching Lab took Bronze in the Labs category.
