The SOFI CDT is formed by the three universities: Durham University, University of Edinburgh and the University of Leeds in a global consortium with industrial partners, major research facilities and international universities and institutes.
Dr Enzo Mangano has been recently awarded best Italian early-stage academic working in Scotland in Physical and Engineering Sciences. The award, which is now at its 3rd edition, was made this year for the first time also as a separate prize for Italian researchers working in Scotland.
The School of Engineering offers several PhD studentships and scholarships for excellent students. These are competitive studentships, with an annual call for applications. The deadlines for our studentships are given below.
