The School of Engineering is seeking to appoint a talented and committed Mechanical Engineering Technician to join its highly skilled Technical Services team of over 35 technical staff. The appointee will primarily be responsible for the provision of technical support to the School’s Composites Research Group. With responsibility for the day-to-day running and organisation of the Group’s laboratories, the post-holder will be involved in manufacturing components and apparatus, maintaining and servicing equipment, and training staff, students and other technicians.
The successful candidate will undertake teaching duties in Mechanical Engineering. They will also carry out research in green hydrogen energy systems, within the Institute of Energy Systems at the University of Edinburgh.
