What attracted you to the University of Edinburgh and this programme, in particular? 

The good reputation of the University of Edinburgh has had a big impact on my decision.   Additionally, accreditation from iChemE and a diverse range of subject electives.

What one thing would you recommend new students at the University of Edinburgh do?         

Say yes to everything and romanticise the studying and commitment to make it less daunting and unenjoyable.

Any student wisdom you'd like to pass on?     

Keep going! So worth it for the graduation and the doors it opens

What aspects of student life do you enjoy the most and why?  

Friends and the resources which aren’t available to everyone.

What do you most like about studying here?                    

Location, Edinburgh is a wonderful city!

What do you find most challenging and most rewarding about your programme?           

At times, it is very hard but you get a rush finally getting things right.

What's a 'must do' at the University of Edinburgh?         

Make sure to communicate with the lecturers, they are very supportive and want you to succeed so don't be afraid to ask questions.

What is your favourite course so far and why? 

I enjoy Fire Science and Fire Dynamics. These courses have entertaining lectures and an invested lecturer.

How would you describe the practical elements of the programme?     

Currently, it is relatively limited but will increase as I dive more into my dissertation.

Where is your favourite place to study?

Eng Inn is my favourite place to study! This cozy cafe provides the perfect setting for group work and relaxation.

What are your tips for student life in Edinburgh?            

Remember to have fun! The MSc programmes are demanding but remember to relax and go out with your friends regularly.

Can you tell us of any personal or professional achievements during your studies?         

I am very proud of achieving a scholarship which made my studies possible.

As long as it is not confidential, can you tell us what your research topic you are focusing on? 

Yes of course it is  Ammonia bio-sensors.

How is your programme equipping you for your future career?

Contributing to my 5 years of study for chartership.

Can you tell us of any future career plans you might have at this stage?               

I envisage myself in food, drink or cosmetic industry

What advice would you give to anyone thinking of studying at the University of Edinburgh?          

Research if it's for you and if it is, dive in!
