On May 9th, the IChemE Scottish Members Group held its "judgement day" for its Display Unit Competition in Forth Valley College in Falkirk. Our 2nd and 3rd year students did very well.
An alliance of researchers from the UK, Norway and Greece has been ranked top in a Europe-wide funding call and will receive €670,000 towards research into innovative carbon capture technology.
Congratulations to Camille French, David MacDonald and Ruaridh MacDonald, fourth year chemical engineering students, who won Engineering Leadership Advanced Awards from the Royal Academy of Engineering.
The School of Engineering was delighted to receive an Athena SWAN bronze award in the most recent assessment round. Dr Katherine Cameron and Prof Ian Underwood led the team that put together the School’s submission and collected the award at the ceremony in November 2013 at Imperial College.
