Charles Qi Zhou


I am a PhD student at the School of Engineering working with Dr. Timm Krüger. My research work focuses on mesoscopic simulations (using lattice Boltzmann method) of cellular blood flow in the microcirculation system, with a particular interest in developmental retinal angiogenesis (growth and remodelling of blood vessels). I also collaborate with materials scientists to develop bio-inspired microswimmers for minimally-invasive biomedical applications aimed at future medicine.
