On Monday 3rd September 2018, the School’s first commemorative plaques were unveiled to celebrate the achievements of three outstanding alumni, and the School’s first ever Regius Professor.
Athanasios is working on engineering fluid mechanics, incorporated within the Institute for Infrastructure and the Environment and leading research on hydro-environmental applications.
Dr. Andrea Semiao has received £125,000 from EPSRC to support a 15-month project which contributes to the global need for reliable and sustainable provision of clean drinking water.
The Hyperloop society at the University of Edinburgh, HypED, was recently selected to build a prototype for the global finals of SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition, which will take place in late August at SpaceX headquarters in Hawthorne, California.
