Dr Yu Wang is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Edinburgh with a focus on experimental studies of informal settlement fire.
In 2016, he obtained his double PhD degrees of Fire Safety Engineering in University of Science and Technology of China and City University of Hong Kong, working on glass façade thermal breakage in a fire. His PhD research and thesis have been awarded as "President Award" in 2015 and "Excellent PhD Thesis of Chinese Academy of Sciences" in 2017.
After graduation, he worked as a Research Fellow at National University of Singapore for one year and then joined the IRIS-Fire project from the end of 2017.
